Jerry Kelly wins the 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship


VICTORIA, B.C. (September 17, 2017) – PGA TOUR Champions rookie, Jerry Kelly, claimed his second win in five weeks, shooting a final-round 68 en route to a 14-under total and a one-shot victory at the 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship. Trailing by one at the start of the day, Kelly took his first lead after he parred No. 4. In the final round, he hit all 13 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in regulation. With the win, he won $270,000 bumping up his season total to $1,121,577. He is the eighth player to win more than $1 million this season, and became the fourth player with multiple victories this season, joining Bernhard Langer (4), Scott McCarron (4) and Fred Couples (2). Four players held solo leads during Sunday's final round: Jerry Kelly, Lee Janzen, David McKenzie and Jerry Smith .

(September 28, 2016) – After a week of exciting play, Colin Montgomerie won the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship, held at The Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort & Spa in Victoria, BC from September 19-25, after beating Scott McCarron in a three-hole playoff this past Sunday. Henderson, Nev. (August 25, 2015) – Pacific Links International and the PGA Champions Tour announced today that the decision was made to cancel the 2015 Pacific Links China Championship. The event, scheduled for September 14-20, would have been the first Champions Tour to be played in China, and was to be held at one of Asia’s most exclusive golf courses, Pacific Links’ 27 Club. In light of the recent tragic explosions in the port area of Tianjin, China, it was determined the internationally celebrated and televised Pacific Links Championship will be postponed until next year. Although the 27 Club and surrounding areas were not directly affected by the explosion, event organizers agreed it would be inappropriate to continue with the event.
