MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, North Carolina was established in 1967, MacGregor Downs is an elegant and personal club with a proud Scottish heritage, often rated one of the best golf courses in North Carolina and the Southeastern United States.
The golf course was designed by Willard Byrd, one of America’s leading golf course architects. In the early 1970s, MacGregor Downs played host to the Liggett & Myers PGA Tour Match Play Championships and currently hosts the Children’s Flight of Hope Charity Tournament each year. Some of the greatest names in golf have walked its fairways, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Lee Trevino.
In more recent years, the Club has hosted current greats such as Phil Mickelson, Stewart Cink, David Duval, and Davis Love III.
MacGregor Downs is a private country club that combines over 40 years of history, heritage and tradition with all of the modern amenities of the country club of today.
